Authority Dock & Door had a very rewarding experience in helping a local center that helps the community. One of our service technicians was sent out to the Letty Owings Center to measure an area for a coiling door that they were in need of. They understood that they could not let the women in the community that they humbly take care of into the center until the door was fixed and completed.
After determining what type of coiling door was needed for the job, our technician realized we had one that would work and after talking it over, our Operations Manager Scott Burgoyne made a bold and fantastic decision to donate the door. Our technician Tim Dudevoir also decided to donate his own time and effort into installing the door. This is a center that does a lot to help out the Portland community and it was the LEAST we could do to help them in return!
Central City Concern & The Letty Owings Center
– Central City Concern (CCC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency serving single adults and families in the Portland metro area who are impacted by homelessness, poverty and addictions. Founded in 1979, the agency has developed a comprehensive continuum of affordable housing options integrated with direct social services including healthcare, recovery and employment.
They operate the Letty Owings Center.
